We are Alan and Barbara, and we moved to Gateforth Park in April 2026. The picture above is of us opening the door to our new home on the day we moved in!
What model of park home do you have?
We chose an Omar Anniversary style with bespoke finish.
Have you lived on a residential park before?
No, we haven’t lived in a park home before. Our previous home was a detached house with four bedrooms.
Why did you choose to move to Gateforth Park?
We always said that one day we would move into a lodge type home in our retirement. Some friends told us about Gateforth Park, and around two years ago we visited and reserved our plot. The park is very attractive, peaceful and well cared for.
How did you find the process of moving here?
It was very stressful because we lost our house sale and were let down by an agent. However, the Gateforth Park team were very helpful and very understanding throughout the whole process.
How are you settling in?
We are glad to be here as we waited so long! We’re settling in very well, relaxing and looking forward to our future here.
We’re looking forward to the final phase being finished and we can’t wait to get our garden started (could have had more topsoil and less rubble though!)
What do you like about living in a park home?
We love the finish of the park home. The attention to detail is great and all the bespoke alterations just finish the home off.
How about the location?
We know the area and love the walks. There’s plenty of countryside to explore.
How are you finding the Gateforth Park community?
The community is very helpful and friendly; nothing is too much trouble.
What would you say to people considering a move to Gateforth Park?
We would and have recommended the park to friends and family, and we’d say come, enjoy, relax – and live life to the full!
