It’s been quite a month at Gateforth Park as we welcomed our first residents and continued work on the site.

First residents at Gateforth Park

In August, we marked an exciting milestone when Gez and Sue, along with their miniature Schnauzer Gracie, moved in to their new home at Gateforth Park.

The couple came across the site online while looking to downsize and loved what they saw. Having managed a holiday lodge park, they knew that park home living and its friendly, safe community was something they enjoyed, and were impressed with the vision and plans for Gateforth Park.

They had already viewed some bungalows and apartments but were put off by certain elements, such as the maintenance costs and upgrade work that was required.

Gateforth Park appealed to Sue and Gez because of its village atmosphere, along with the gated entrance, the street lighting and security cameras.

They also liked the fact that all the homes at Gateforth are made by one of the UK’s top manufacturers, Prestige Homeseeker Park & Leisure Homes. For Sue and Gez, this meant they could be certain of a high standard of both build and customer service.

With such a range of park homes to choose from, Gez and Sue took their time finding their perfect one. They made full use of the virtual tours offered by Prestige to have a good look around 14 homes, eventually deciding on the Affinity because it ticked all the boxes for them.

Just a few weeks on from their big move, Gez and Sue say they couldn’t be happier with their new home. Gez, who is due to retire this month, is particularly looking forward to the development of our on-site fishing lakes so he can indulge in one of his favourite pastimes.

We’re absolutely delighted that Gez and Sue have settled in so quickly to their new home at Gateforth Park. They were joined on the park shortly afterwards by another couple who moved in to a Majestic, and we are preparing to welcome new residents into four more homes over the next two months.

You can find out more about why Sue and Gez chose Gateforth Park in an interview with them here.

The latest progress

As if welcoming our first residents wasn’t exciting enough, we’ve been cracking on with more developments on site.

The entrance to the park and all the streets have now been fully tarmacked and are looking fantastic.

The entrance now also a new security barrier, with the stone wall and gate due to be installed this week.

The new garden sheds that come free with every home have also been put in place, and look very smart indeed!

We continue to be busy showing people around Gateforth Park and the homes – all, of course, adhering to social distancing and safety guidelines. We still have one show home available at our one-off introductory price: an Accolade for £132,500.
